The Home Buying Process

Discover the Process

1. Making an Offer

You’ve found your perfect home and now the time has come to submit an offer. For many, this can be a stressful time. I will be there every step of the way and negotiate on your behalf to get you the best deal possible.

Items to Consider:

Determine the price you want to offer
Analyze comparable sales. Look at what is active, under agreement, sold, and expired .
Consider your objectives in the sale
Do you need the terms tailored to your needs? Are you in a rush?
Know what your maximum is
What is the top dollar you are willing to spend on this property?
Be prepared for a counter offer
Know how we can work with terms or prices ahead of time. Decide on a strategy
Decide on financing
Will you need a mortgage? Are you able to pay cash?
Consider other issues that are important to you
Are there items you want included in the sale? Think about a home warranty, inspections, and repairs. Decide on a closing date and possession.

Your offer will be presented to the seller through their sales associate, and I will negotiate on your behalf to get you the best deal possible. Once we have reached an agreement with the seller, you will have a binding contract to purchase the home and move forward in the process.

2. Inspections and the Settlement Process

Throughout the inspections and settlement process, most real estate transactions will contain the following steps to complete the process. However, there are instances where some properties may not need to go through every step listed. I will assist you and guide you through the appropriate steps for your purchase.
