A Remarkable Legacy. Three Distinct Estates.

Long before these three properties came to market together, this corner of Hopedale was home to some of the community’s most significant residences. Along Adin Street stood a collection of named estates associated with the families who helped shape Hopedale, including Graceland, Oakledge, Urncrest, The Ledges and The Crossways.

The Ledges | 55 Adin Street

At 55 Adin Street, the story of The Ledges stretches back to Governor Eben Sumner Draper, whose original residence on the property was built in 1885. After his death, the earlier home was razed and a new estate was created on the site in the 1920s by his son, Eben Draper Jr., preserving the family’s connection to the property while establishing the residence that stands today.

The Crossways | 105 Adin Street

Just down Adin Street, The Crossways was home to Governor Draper’s other son, B.H. Bristow Draper, and his wife, Queena Sanford Draper. Built in 1914, the estate reflects another chapter of the Draper family’s presence in Hopedale and the era when substantial named residences defined this stretch of the community.

6 Steel Road | A Contemporary Chapter

Nearby, 6 Steel Road carries the tradition of significant estate living into a more contemporary era. Set on expansive landscaped grounds, the custom residence was designed around privacy, recreation and entertaining, with a heated pool, carriage house, private theater, home gym and resort-inspired outdoor spaces. Where The Ledges and The Crossways reflect Hopedale’s architectural past, 6 Steel offers a distinctly modern interpretation of the estate lifestyle.

Together, the three properties span generations of Hopedale estate living, each with its own architecture, character and story.

Three Estates. Three Ways to Live Today.

The Ledges | 55 Adin Street

Grand in scale, rich in craftsmanship and designed to leave an impression.

Set on nearly 18 private acres, The Ledges reveals its character through a dramatic sequence of spaces and architectural details. Imported English oak, flagstone, coffered ceilings, leaded glass windows and beautifully detailed fireplaces establish a sense of craftsmanship throughout, while the Great Hall and banquet-sized dining room create an extraordinary setting for entertaining.

Beyond the residence, sweeping lawns, formal gardens, a pond, inground pool, tennis court and gazebo extend the experience outdoors. Extensive restoration and modernization have introduced contemporary comfort while preserving the atmosphere and integrity that define the estate.

A grand foyer introduces interiors that include coffered ceilings, a cherrywood ballroom illuminated by crystal chandeliers, a dramatic game room with vaulted beams and an eight-foot fireplace, formal dining spaces, libraries and more intimate rooms for conversation and retreat.

Outside, upper and lower gardens, a display fountain, expansive stone patio, inground pool and hot tub create a private setting for both entertaining and everyday enjoyment. Thoughtful updates throughout bring modern comfort to a residence that retains its distinctive historic character.
